MILITARY ISSUE PLATES

Presently (August 2008), there are twenty-four (24) different Military Issue License Plates available in Michigan. on five (5) different bases (the Medal of Honor has two different bases).

This is down from twenty-six (26) different types, as WORLD WAR ONE (WWI) and the PANAMA CONFLICT have been removed.

The latest two (2) are the Afghanistan Conflict Veteran and the Iraq Conflict Veteran, which were first issued beginning in June 2008.

Michigan residents  who served in the U.S. Military between October 24, 1962 and June 1, 1963, and their spouses, are eligible for the Cuban Missile Crisis Veteran license plate.

Michigan residents  who served in the U.S. Military between April 28, 1965 and September 21, 1966, and their spouses, are eligible for the Dominican Republic Conflict Veteran license plate.
