They were first issued in 1974, with 1975 expirations

For handicapped/disabled people
wishing to have a license plate other than the regular issues - white on
blue base (1984-2007), "Blue Bar" base (2007 to present), Great Lakes
Splendor - Bridge Graphic or Spectacular Peninsulas base -
provisions were made to attach a small red and white "International
Handicapped Person" decal on the bottom right corner of those license plates
 Below are examples of those type license plates with an International Handicapped Person decal attached. |
