Our 2005 Outing was another GREAT one!!! We had a very nice turnout, and someone finally won the Hole-In-One Pool.

 Congratulations are in order for Larry Sweeney, who scored an "Ace" on the 7th hole at River Greens, on our last day of golf.

It's time now to get moving on this years outing.  2006 will be our 13th Annual Outing, and as you can see, we're going back to the GRAND Old Kenilworth Lodge in Sebring, as we have the past 12 years.

 Plans for our "Tune-up" rounds will be announced at a later date, but hopefully Bruce Kendrick, our host, will again be able to set up Friday and Saturday's rounds at the great Ridgewood Lakes Country Club.

We will be staying at the Kenilworth Lodge from Sunday, September 24, 2006 through Wednesday, September 27, 2006,  4 days of golf again this year !!! 

As of this date, August 25, 2006, I have thirty-two (32) players signed up with paid deposits for 2006,   Click on the link below to see who has already paid their deposits, and who has said that the "check's in the mail".

We have secured all the "efficiencies" around the pool again this year, as well as six (6) of the "cottages" just beyond the pool.

I have informed the Lodge of a final count as of today.

There is also a change in the way deposits are to be paid.  It's a headache for me to have to write down the date and time someone paid their deposit, how it was paid, etc.  So from now on, deposits MUST be paid via a personal check.  This also insures that you have a receipt for the deposit (your cancelled check), and I have a copy of it, since I make a copy of each check before cashing it.

A change was also made this year by the Kenilworth Lodge.  They are now requesting a $50 deposit for each golfer.  That means that I must also change the deposit policy, and I will need $125.00 for the deposit, rather than the usual $100.00, as now $50 is for the room & golf deposits and $75 is for the prize money.   A list of those still owing the extra $25.00 deposit is listed at this link:

Those canceling their spot before August 24,  2006, will get a refund.   Those canceling AFTER August 24, 2006, will receive a refund of their deposit IF we can fill the spot before the golf outing begins.

I will try to contact those I haven’t heard from, but I wouldn’t count on it. If you don’t get me the deposit, you may not be in this year.

GET YOUR DEPOSIT IN EARLY (and often)!!!!!

The "HOLE-IN-ONE POOL" will start over again, because, as mentioned above, the pool of $500.00 was paid out to Larry Sweeney for his GREAT shot last year at River Greens.

NOTE:  

For those of you who lug along your computer on trips, like my son and I, you'll find that the Kenilworth Lodge has added some amenities.

They've added complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access in ALL of their guest rooms.  Finally, "surfing" is allowed out by the heated swimming pool!   They even went a little more "high-tech" and added a mini business center in the lobby (with a 2nd workstation being added any day). For a finishing touch, they also expanded their satellite TV programming, adding a total of 5 FREE premium movie channels and 6 dedicated sports channels.

Bruce Kendrick will be handling the tune-up rounds this year, and he needs to know who will be playing in the "tune up" rounds on Friday and Saturday.
