NOTE FROM OKLAHOMA COLLECTOR:

The 1936 Oklahoma "State Outline" plates began in 1936 and were issued until 1940 or 1941.   These are EXEMPT plates.   Some collectors seem to believe they were used on Oklahoma Highway Patrol vehicles during that period.    This is NOT true.  

Oklahoma Highway Patrol vehicles used passenger license plates up through about 1961.
