"COM'L TRUCK" Designation Believed To Have Started In 1959 or 1960. 

Prior to that, there was a letter "T" separator on the license plate, which designated the license plate as a TRUCK license plate. 

1997:  Non-Expiring Commercial Truck Tags were issued for the first time
