1984 GENERAL ISSUE  - WHITE ON BLUE BASE - WITH 1998 MONTH & YEAR OF EXPIRATIONS

All Plates Are Standard Size - 12" x 6"

These plates were constructed out of STEEL or ALUMINUM.

The STEEL plates were issued at Secretary of State Branch Offices, while the ALUMINUM license plates were mailed from the main Secretary of States Office in the State Capitol complex area, if a person ordered a license plate via mail. 

Some of the  ALUMINUM license plates could also be distinguished by "slotted" bolt holes, while the STEEL plates all had "round" bolt holes.

The 1998 Expirations, as well as some of the 1999 Expiration Stickers were issued with two stickers (month & year in the bottom left and right corners) and some were issued with one sticker with Month & Year combined,

The new type of sticker, with the combined Month & Year on one sticker, were printed at the licensing office, and have the actual license plate number on them.

(This base was last issued in December 2006, with validation expirations conceivably until December 2007)

These plates were first issued with 1997 expirations, and were revalidated yearly until December2006 with expirations conceivably until December 2007
