1984 GENERAL ISSUE  - WHITE ON BLUE BASE - WITH 1996 MONTH & YEAR OF EXPIRATIONS

All Plates Are Standard Size - 12" x 6"

These plates were constructed out of STEEL or ALUMINUM.

The STEEL plates were issued at Secretary of State Branch Offices, while the ALUMINUM license plates were mailed from the main Secretary of States Office in the State Capitol complex area, if a person ordered a license plate via mail. 

Some of the  ALUMINUM license plates could also be distinguished by "slotted" bolt holes, while the STEEL plates all had "round" bolt holes.

1996 OPTIONAL ISSUE 

WORLD'S MOTOR CAPITOL

(OLD CAR BASE)

These plates were issued for ONE YEAR ONLY, 1996, but could be revalidated yearly, up to and including 2006, with 2007 expiration dates.

As of January 2007, they are still being used with yearly validation stickers. 

The ONLY years with "Natural" validation stickers would be 1996 and 1997
