1984 WAS THE ONLY YEAR WHERE "ONLY" A MONTH OF EXPIRATION STICKER WAS USED, NO "YEAR" OF EXPIRATION STICKER ISSUED
THESE PLATES GOT THEIR FIRST 'YEAR OF EXPIRATION' VALIDATION STICKER FOR 1985.

All Plates Are Standard Size - 12" x 6"
These plates were constructed out of STEEL or ALUMINUM.
The STEEL plates were issued at Secretary of State Branch Offices, while the ALUMINUM license plates were mailed from the main Secretary of States Office in the State Capitol complex area, if a person ordered a license plate via mail.
The ALUMINUM license plates could also be distinguished by "slotted" bolt holes, while the STEEL plates had "round" bolt holes.
