BAKER'S CHOCOLATES MINIATURE LICENSE PLATES
This was a set of fifty (50) license plates of the United States, which included the 49 states of the United States (with Alaska) and the District of Columbia (this set was issued before Hawaii became a State later in 1959).
The license plates were inserted into cartons of "Baker's" Instant Chocolate Flavor Mix, one to a carton, in a protective foil wrapper. They were also offered as sets of 5 license plates at a time or a complete set.
Complete sets of all fifty (50) plates, or sets of five (5), which came in an envelope (see image below), were available.
There were ten (10) envelopes, with sets of five (5) plates each, the envelopes were lettered A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and J. Below is the Series "A" envelope.

These miniature
license plates are 5" wide by 2" in height, and very similar to the 1954 "
"
license plates, in that they have the rolled edges, which are different from the
1953 "
"
set.
